Summary:Introduction: The pattern of craniomaxillofacial fractures seen in adolescents and children varies with evolving skeletal anatomy as well as socio-environmental factors. The main objective is to restore underlying bony architecture to pre-traumatic stage, conservatively with minimal functional impairment. Methodology: The present study included fifteen cases of mandibular fractures in children between 3-13 years of age, of these 9 were boys and 6 were girls. The cases were successfully treated using free hand technique. Results: The pediatric mandibular fractures were successfully managed using acrylic splints and bridle wiring. Conclusion: As compared to adults, fracture in pediatric patients is less common. The presentation and cause of fracture can vary with age factor. Thus proper examination and treatment protocols which are age appropriate are mandatory
