Description
Summary:The superconducting strips have the property of shielding the magnetic field from the interior of the superconducting conductor, i.e. the current distribution inside the superconducting strip is such as to minimise overall energy of the magnetic field inside the strip. The accuracy and sensitivity of numerical modelling of the current distributions, as well as the energy and magnetic moment calculations, inside the rectangular conducting strip is thoroughly analysed with respect to number of discretisation domains, computer time requirements, and the strip aspect-rations.
