description | This paper aims to analyze the effect of Japanese leadership styles on employee performance at Japanese companies in Vietnam and to recommend policy implications to improve employee performance in Japanese companies. The study uses the convinient sample collection of 241 obervations and applies the method of descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s Alpha, Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) and regression. The research findings are that the leadership style of Performance (P) influences 60.7% employee performance, the leadership style of Maintenance (M) influences 18.6% employee performance, and the leadership style of Performance & Maintenance (P&M)influences 61.7% employee performance. The effect order of leadership styles on employeee performance are that the leadership style of Performance & Maintenance (P&M)is the highest, next is the leadership style of Performance (P); and the lowest is the leadership style of Maintenance (M). |
