description Objective: Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare hyperplastic condition of the joint’s synovial membrane with a high recurrence and tumor-like characteristics affecting large joints such as the hip, knee, and ankle. They often present with dull and chronic pain as well as swelling of the joint which may make the straight diagnosis challenging. The gold standard of treatment is complete resection of the lesion. In this case report, we present a knee joint TGCT in an adult patient with nonspecific clinical presentation. Case report: We introduced a 33-year-old patient presenting with some nonspecific and chronic signs and symptoms of the knee who was finally diagnosed as local TGCT. Conclusion: Considering the unusual and somehow deceptive clinical presentation of TGCT, in order to reach the right diagnosis, it should be considered as a differential diagnosis. Keywords: Tenosynovial giant cell tumor, Pigmented villonodular synovitis, arthroscopy, knee joint Level of evidence: V
