Summary: | This study aimed to produce electromagnetic interference (EMI) gaskets by combining silicone rubber and nickel-coated graphite as the matrix and filler, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images revealed the rough surface of the gaskets, indicating the appropriate distribution of filler powders within the polymer matrix. The experiment involved three samples containing 30%, 50%, and 70% filler by weight. The results showed that as the filler content increased, the electrical resistivity of the gaskets decreased, while their hardness increased. Moreover, the shielding effectiveness of the gaskets was observed to exceed 55 dB.m within the frequency range of 1.2 to 2.6 GHz.
