Summary:In Turkey, State Forest Enterprises are accepted as the most intensive economic units for forestry activities. The sustainability of state forest enterprises can be obtained by efficient usage of their resources. Recently, Data Envelopment Analysis is based on the non-parametric linear method, which provides the efficiency level for the public institute without any profit purpose. This method allows to use many different variables in the same time, in addition, it can enable to be compared with each other. Because of this fact, especially the determination of the efficiency levels of state forest enterprises will provide easy way for decision makers in application and assessment process though Data Envelopment Analysis in Turkey.
