Summary:Psammaegialia gen. n. with 2 new species P. abdita sp. n. (type species) and P. zebrina sp. n. from the Yixian Formation of China are described. Psammoaegialini trib. n. is proposed for this genus. Diagnosis of the tribus: mandibles produced beyond apex of clypeus; eye partly divided by genal lobe; pronotum with transverse ridges and grooves; basal part of propygidium with two longitudinal subparallel grooves; mesocoxae contiguous, positioned at an acute angle; meso- and metatibia with one transverse carina on external surface; mesotibial spurs contiguous; metatibial spurs are divided by the base of the tarsomere.
