description Serbian drama in the Pristina Theatre began to evolve in bridge with the Albanian. A large number of writers, directors, set designers and actors, who made their artistic mark in Yugoslavia's theater and film, began their work in this theater. Artistic achievement of the first theater company was not great. Nevertheless, with great effort, desire and help of the professional theater workers, this theatre became competitive and prominent on the great Yugoslav scene, made great achievements and won many prizes. More importantly, this theatre was the main cultural and artistic centre of Kosovo and Metohia and it inspired development of local theater criticism and initiated intellectual curiosity about the theatre in this part of Serbia.
