Material and Methods. The results of clinical examination, diagnostics and surgical treatment of Ladd syndrome were analyzed in two patients, 22 and 24 years of age, by the doctors of 1st surgery department of the Lviv regional clinical hospital.
Results and Discussion. А rare cause of acute mechanical intestinal obstruction in two patients, 22 and 24 years of age - Ladd syndrome, was found only intraoperatively. The midline laparotomy, detorsion of the bowels is the optimal surgical treatment.
Conclusions. A rare pathology complicated the diagnostics of the cause of acute mechanical intestinal obstruction - Ladd syndrome in two adults. The midline laparotomy, detorsion of the bowels have resulted in patients' recovery. |
