Description
Summary:The article starts from the idea that there is a common aspect between today and yesterday anarchism, which is its direct opposition to the “voluntary servitude” and the claim of freedom against any kind of authority and tyranny. The transmission of this strong identity against power, also considered as a social movement has been affected in Spain by the traditional division and internal confrontation within libertarian organizations, and furthermore, by the incessant repression from political power to their structures and members. After this theoretical introduction, the article is organized in two big parts: the first one presents the criticism of predominance of responsibility and freedom ideas in the anarchist ideology, and also the change from the theoretical “cerebral dynamite” to the combative and militant anarchist attitude in the Spanish Civil War. The second part expounds the resistance to Franco’s regime repression, and the main problems in the transmission of anarchist identity and memory of the Civil War at the Present Time.
