However because of serious, potentially fatal side effects like agranulocytosis or cardiac toxicity, use of clozapine is limited to schizophrenia symptoms partially or fully resistant to treatment with other antipsychotic drugs, or accompanied by persistent suicidal or self-injurious behavior. |
