2,2-Bis(hydroxymethyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolizin-1-one

The title compound, C9H11NO3, was prepared by an Aldol reaction of 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolizin-1-one with formaldehyde. The asymmetric unit contains six molecules. The pyrrolizine ring system in each molecule is planar, the maximum atomic deviation being 0.066&#8197;(2)&#8197;&...
