| description | 23rd International Universiade Olympic Games will be held in Izmir between July 6 and 16 and is the second largest organisation after World Olympic Games. Almost 8000 athletes from 170 different countries will attend to the games and a well organised airway transportation traffic is one of the major concerns. Thus optimization of the airway traffic is needed also because of the expected increase of the density of Adnan Menderes Airport due to continuing national air traffic. Waiting time optimization of the incoming and outgoing planes is a necessity. So it will be examined if a new landing field is need or not. In order to do this the most crowded day 08 30 2002 is selected as a reference and analysis has been carried. Data have been collected from the observation of 100 planes that had been used on the selected date. |
