Description
Summary:Throughout the example of the plateau of Gergovie, this article questions the influence of hardly discernable archeological remains in the understanding of a cultural landscape. In its material and fictional dimensions, Gergovie highlights some persistance in its patrimonalisation processes, affecting the legibility of its landscape. In the end, remains are still significant in our representations of the site, either through the monumentalisation revealing the invisible, or the oppidum label which comes with specific imaginaries.
