| description | Tuberculosis is still a public health problem in underdeveloped countries; tuberculous meningitis and intracerebral tuberculoma are the most common manifestations in the CNS.Intracerebral tuberculoma is a focal mass in the brain that can manifest with an epileptic attack, raised ICP, and focal neurological deficit; it can have similar features to other intracranial lesions clinically and radiologically. Here we describe a 22 yrs old lady who presented with the left side hemiparesis, headache, tonic clonic seizure, and visual haziness for four months. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging showed a mass in the right parietal area, a nodular ring-enhanced lesion with central necrosis. There was a strong suspicion of a glial tumor. The lesion was resected with a right parietal craniotomy approach. Histological examination of the mass revealed tuberculoma, and the patient was treated with antituberculous. |
