As with the development of the railway, the construction of the train station has an important role in the development of the rail transportation mode. The affordability and alignment with other modes of transportation are important to consider in its placement in the layout of the city. The placement of Bandung’s railway station in the city of Bandung in spatial colonial times is the issue of this paper. The descriptive analytical research methods used to answer this issue. Data were collected through survey and literature studies. The result showed that the placement of Bandung’s railway station in the city is very strategic for its location is within easy reach from all parts of the city.

ABSTRAK
Seperti halnya pengembangan jalur kereta api, pembangunan stasiun memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan moda transportasi kereta api. Keterjangkauan dan keselarasan dengan moda transportasi lain merupakan hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam peletakannya pada tata ruang kota. Penempatan stasiun kereta api Bandung dalam tata ruang kota Bandung zaman kolonial merupakan permasalahan yang diangkat dalam tulisan ini. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut dilakukan penelitian deskriptif analitis.Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dan survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dipandang dari ruang tata kota, penempatan stasiun kereta api Bandung sangat strategis karena mudah dijangkau dari seluruh penjuru kota.
