We are faced with a representation fed by a strategy of containment which, while visually materializing diversity at the same time despises and demonises it, fixes it, circumscribes it in graffiti, wall painting, statuary, fetish, puppet, toy and doll, and therefore in clay, stone, wood, iron, ivory, marble, even plastic, yesterday as today.
