Summary: | Internationally, there has been growing understanding that to prevent gender-based violence
it is necessary to work and involve men. After the promulgation of Law 11340 of 2006, which brought legal prediction for this kind of interventions in Brazil, academic debate has advanced significantly. However, the topic needs to be critically reviewed, in order to articulate the national studies. Given this framework, the purpose of this article is to analyze the national academic production on the subject from the specialized literature and national reports. The results suggest the possibility of transformations in the relationships, however, bring to light weaknesses in the structure of the policies to combat violence. |
