Description
Summary:The equation model of disintegration and agglomeration has been developed to analyze the performance of the bead mill. The equation model, derived under the assumption that the frequency of disintegration depends on the volume ratio of the agglomerates, comprises two parameters: the disintegration coefficient and the agglomeration coefficient. Six experiments were conducted to determine these two coefficients. When a common value is applied for the agglomeration coefficient, the value of the disintegration coefficient reflects the performance of the bead mill. This proposed method could assist in optimizing the conditions for bead mills.
