Summary:Quality assurance and quality management are key elements in the implementation and development of the Bologna Proces and they are increasingly central challenges in the governance of higher education. The importance of promoting a culture of quality has acquired, increasing attention in the last two decades. A culture of quality can be sustained by favoring processes of sense making and understanding of the overall teaching system, favoring critical access and the interpretation of the artefacts, norms and procedures with which the specific social and cultural community carries out its practices and solves problems, with particular reference to processes relating to quality assessment and assurance.
