description The seaside tourism of Tunisia, which started with a few limited area parallel to the shoreline, has evolved through several ‘concepts’ of tourist development. Since the country’s independence in 1956, the Tunisian state has been a key player in tourism development. Moreover, since the 1970s, it does not stop, to disengage to encourage private developers to take over.
