Description
Summary:Mindfulness based interventions are increasingly used in clinical psychology because of the significant effects they produce, with the elderly being the main candidates for these interventions, which framed in a successful model of aging demand quality practice. The object of thisstudyistheeffect ofa Mindfulness program adapted to the residential environment, in a sample of twelve elderly people, focused on improving psychological-emotional well-being, pain perception, quality and life satisfaction, under a quasi-experimental design pre-post test, aimed at evaluating these characteristics; combining formal practices of full attention, with psycho-educational aspects necessary in the development of them. The results showed positive effects in more than half of the areas involved in the program, being of interest  for future studies, to use a larger sample representative of said population with control group, to continue delving into ways to stimulate the continuous use of Mindulfulness in this collective.
