| Summary: | This contribution offers insights and reflections on the teaching of digital discourse in academic English language curricular courses. These considerations originate from pluriannual research activity on the digital remediation of specialized languages and out of the teaching of these contents in the modules of a European project dedicated to the design and implementation of a transnational study program that merges multimodal digital literacy and English for international communication. The paper also argues for the integration of basic concepts of information technology in linguistic studies of digitally remediated English language in order to teach students how to communicate in the era of the so-called “computational turn”. |
