Summary: | The best-known Breton is the one spoken in a large north-western half of the Breton territory. Its system has been studied in particular by François Falc'hun. Lanvénégen, a commune in Morbihan on the edge of Finistère, lies outside this area. Compared with the area mentioned above, the Breton spoken in this commune is similar in appearance, but also has its own particularities, particularly in terms of prosody. This gives Lanvénégen Breton its own melody, rhythm and cadence, which, it is thought, facilitate expression and enhance expressiveness. This paper proposes a more detailed study of the structure of local Breton. |
