description | According to the Federal State Statistics Service, maternal mortality in the Russian Federation increased from 9.0 to 11.2 in 2020; in some subjects of the Russian Federation, this figure rises to 18.9, indicating the need for further analysis and implementation of the latest scientific data into practice. This review presents data from current publications on the clinical manifestations of coronavirus infection in pregnant women, problems of radiation diagnosis, and pregnancy complications. Among the latter, thromboembolic events, placental disorders caused by microthrombosis and the resulting increase in preterm labor and hypertensive disorders are the most common. A threefold increase in gestational hypertension and the development of preeclampsia in pregnant women infected with COVID-19 has been reported. Each day more and more evidence are comming for the effectiveness of low molecular weight heparins for the prevention of perinatal complications. Data are presented on the possible effect of additional folate and vitamin D supplementation on the course of new coronavirus infection in pregnant women. The issues of perinatal outcomes and prevention of complications remain the most relevant and require further study. |
