Description
Summary:Political realism is a school of thought that considers power relationships as independent of the wishes, preferences and theories of actors and spectators. Historical lessons are essential to it. Mentors of American political realism retrieve classical history, particularly Thucydides’ The Peloponnesian War, as a source of lessons to explain America’s own procedure both in the post-Cold War, as well as in complex international relations in the present world, with its paradoxes and contradictions.
