Althoughhe would never be able to travel to Chile, Octavio Paz dedicated numeroussplendid pages to Gabriela Mistral, Vicente Huidobro, Pablo Neruda, RobertoMatta and Gonzalo Rojas. They express his critical judgment for the works ofthese Chileans as well as his personal relationships with some of them. Thisaccount also covers the various battles Octavio Paz undertook in his poeticalsearch and in the history of the 20th century. |
