description The current study sought to develop a product adaptable to the limitations of patients with disabilities in the rehabilitation process, aiming to meet some daily needs that were limited due to the injury occurred. Thus, from a case study carried out in a Specialized Center in Rehabilitation of a university, information was collected in a descriptive way and from an observation script with a selected patient. Methodologically, the performance of the design was first observed within the theoretical reference as well as how the ergonomic concepts can complement the role of the designer in the creation of an adequate solution that provides well-being in the life of the those with disabilities. Then, information was compiled regarding the patient, his or her degree of trauma, the patient’s place of residence, in order to begin the process of product development later. As a result, approximately ten conceptual proposals were created, out of which only one was chosen, considered the one that most meets the requirements spelled out in the project and which most meets the needs of the possible user. After choosing the best proposal, it was developed in 3D and prototype, in order to be tested and evaluated.
