Description
Summary:The notion of a border is extremely complex and performs multiple functions. Throughout his work, Javier de Lucas has dealt with the different challenges that this concept entails for the modern conception of the State and the guarantees of human rights. This author offers reasons to conceive the border as a zone of contact, exchange, negotiation and mixing. For this, he invites us to rethink the current model of constitutionalism in such a way that it is possible to overcome, for example, the deficit of democratic legitimacy of the immigration and asylum policies of the European Union. With his proposals it is possible to find alternatives to learn how to cross the borders.
