Description
Summary:Serbian literature in Kosovo and Metohia from the so called new era (the second half of the 19th century) until now is inseparately determined to record sufferings, injustices, persecutions, and above all, a great sorrow either due to the hard living conditions or losing of native places and identity as well. The theme of exile and native place lost is appearing as the one of economic, social, political, cultural, and emotional drama. Besides, it is being appeared as documentary reality of Kosovo and Metohia either at the end of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century or as a theme of great suffering from the end of the 20th to the beginning of the 21st century. Although it is telling on the national and personal ones, this literature is without heroine; it is being separate from the national-romantic milieu and epics. Beside the exceptions, that literature is connected with the being of Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohia, for all that makes the tradition and inheritance, and the one what (it may be told) will be poetic phenomenon and motive of contemporary times: persecution as a destiny. It is a necessary sequence after the dramatic disturbance of Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohia, which, losing their job, house, land and native place - reach the ontological one coming back in the quest for soul. Serbian literature in Kosovo and Metohia on the prosecution and native place can be valorized and situated within original Serbian literature, pointing out to their specificity, and peculiarity of their aesthetic categories and values. It is the confirmation on the great distress which can create a great works without risks of the surplus of ecstasy and pathetic.
