Description
Summary:There are many well-known aftereffects in vision thought to reflect how the visual system adapts to the input statistics in the environment. Such aftereffects may therefore be no mere curiosities but may instead reflect strategic gain modulations and changes of responding on behalf of the visual system. The symposium will bring together speakers who have investigated such adaptation, with the aim of uncovering its functional benefits.
