Description
Summary:The article shows in historical phases how the work of the Italo-German sociologist Robert Michels has repeatedly represented a good key to understand political realities. Major attention is paid on recent political events of Italy, which are interpreted in the light of some Michel’s specific concepts, especially the distinction between “inorganic democracy” and “organic democracy”. Specifically, the author suggests a similarity between some movements recently emerged on the Italian political scene and the community of “organic democracy” that is in direct relationship with the leader as well as conceptualized by Michels.
