physical vulnerability by interpreting the data regarding the characteristics of each building within the areas prone to flooding. The social vulnerability was determined by using the same
research method with a certain degree of uncertainty due to insufficient data available. The final result, the flood vulnerability map, obtained by interpolating the two variables – social vulnerability and physical vulnerability – can be used to support a more effective risk management. |
