Description
Summary:The focus of the article is what Biomedical Laboratory Scientist students experience and emphasize as fellow student supervisors in venous blood sampling for nursing students. Method: Qualitative method with focus group interview and written anonymous evaluation. Results: Biomedical Laboratory Scientist students experienced that they learned a lot by supervising nursing students in venous blood sampling. In addition to increased awareness of the role of supervisor, they also became more confident in venous blood sampling. Conclusion: It emerges that knowledge of both venous blood sampling and guidance is important for how the Biomedical Laboratory Scientist students practice the fellow student-based study program. Furthermore, it appears that supervising can also be demanding, and that the teachers are available is important. In addition, the study program allows students to get to know each other's professional health educations.
