Summary:Apart from a number of various activities, the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia is also engaged in the taking care of strictly protected and protected species of animals. During 2021, a total of 118 individuals from the class of birds (Aves) including 22 species were taken care of, as well as two individual species from the class of reptiles (Reptilia) and one individual from the class of mammals (Mammalia), while in 2022 35 individuals were taken care of, and in 2023 a total of 70 individuals, all from the class of birds (Aves). Upon recovery, individuals found to be rehabilitated were returned to their natural habitats.
