Summary: | The unique city of Peñíscola hides in its streets and lanes the secrets of the building vicissitudes of its history, which this intervention has managed to discover, protect and value. The Guide Plan laying down the strategies for the restoration of the walled enclosure has acted as a frame for the urban recuperation of the fortifications in the south west of the citadel. The intervention had to overcome the difficulties that turned up during the archaeological excavations, adding complexity to a problem that was complicated enough to begin with. The final appearance, however, has lost nothing in the process but boasts the simplicity of a job well done.
