description | The aim of the research was to study the productivity of perennial grass mixtures depending on the soil tillage and cover crop fertilization. The studies were conducted in 2008–2015 at permanent site of the scientific center. The experiment was laid out according to the “Methodology of Field Experiment” by B. A. Dospekhov. The effect of basic mineral fertilizers applied under the cover crop (spring barley), as well as the effect of the method of primary tillage on hay yield and productivity of perennial grass mixture of the first and second years of application was studied. In the course of the research it was found that a perennial multicomponent grass mixture responds well to mineral fertilizers applied under spring barley. The best results for moldboard cultivation were obtained with Р₆₀ application (increase in crop productivity by 1.45 and 2.09 t/ha in the first and second year of application), and in case of subsoil tillage in the variant with the application of 30 kg of active nitrogen (respectively 2.13 and 1.61 t/ha). Tillage significantly changes the grass mixture yield in both years of application. The application of mineral fertilizers for spring barley has a positive effect on the productivity of grass mixture of both the first and second years of application, increasing the crude protein yield and fodder units for the studied soil cultivations. In most options with fertilizers, the crude protein yield and fodder units in case of subsoil tillage were significantly higher than in the case of moldboard cultivation. The maximum yield of crude protein in both years of application, both with moldboard and subsoil cultivation was obtained with N₃₀P₆₀K₆₀ application. To increase the productivity of perennial grass mixture cultivated under the cover of barley, it is recommended to conduct subsoil tillage with the application of full mineral fertilizer with a N₃₀P₆₀K₆₀ dose for spring barley. |
