na Floresta Atlântica, objetivou-se, com este trabalho, caracterizar morfologicamente frutos,
sementes, germinação e plântulas, assim como, a citoquímica das sementes de C. guianensis,
acrescentando informações para subsidiar estudos sobre sua conservação e utilização.
Os frutos maduros foram coletados de 20 árvores no município de Recife-PE. Em seguida,
foram realizadas a pesagem de mil sementes e medições individuais de comprimento,
largura e espessura dos frutos e sementes para determinações biométricas e a caracterização
morfológica de suas partes internas e externas, além da caracterização da plântula e de
suas respectivas estruturas. O fruto de C. guianensis é indeiscente, drupisarcídio e globoso.
A semente é eurispérmica, albuminosa e bitegumentada, e a massa de mil sementes desse
lote foi de 153,5 g. A germinação da espécie é do tipo epígea, com o tegumento aderido aos
cotilédones na fase inicial do crescimento da plântula, que tem início a partir do segundo dia
após a semeadura, em condições de laboratório. O tempo médio e o índice de velocidade de
germinação (IVG) foram de 2 dias e 2,174, respectivamente. A plântula com 30 dias apresenta
todas as estruturas, sendo classificada no tipo morfofuncional faneroepígea-foliácea – PEF.
Couroupita guianensis Aubl., popularly known as “abricó de macaco”, is a
neotropical tree species, occurring in the Atlantic and Amazonian forests. Considering the
ecological and economic potential, and abundance of this species, especially in the Atlantic
Forest, the aim of this study was to characterize morphologically fruits, seeds, germination and
seedlings, as well as the cytochemistry of C. guianensis seeds, adding data to support studies about
their utilization and conservation of this species. Ripe fruits were collected from 20 trees in Recife city.
It was calculated the weight of 1,000-seeds and individual measurements of length, width and
thickness of the fruits and seeds for biometric determinations and morphological characterization
of their internal and external parts, besides the characterization of the seedlings and their
respective structures. Fruit of C. guianensis is indehiscent, drupisarcid and globous. The seed is
eurispermic, albuminous, bitegumented and 1,000-seeds weight of this lot was 153.5 g. Germination
is epigeous, with the tegument adhering to the cotyledons in the initial seedling growth phase;
it begins on the second day after sowing in laboratory conditions. The average time and speed of
germination index (GSI) were 2 days and 2.174, respectively. The seedling with 30 days has already
all structures, being classified as morfofunctional phanero-epigeal foliaceous type – PEF. |
