Description
Summary:The issue of performance evaluation occupies a great place and importance in the field of business administration, especially among banking institutions that carry out their activities by providing many banking services in light of the modern banking industry that relies on the principle of universal banking, and therefore they are exposed to various risks and try through their financial management to evaluate their performance To identify its strengths and weaknesses in order to take the appropriate measures, and the research aims to know the extent of the contribution of financial analysis tools to evaluate the banking performance and the extent of its contribution to the treatment of deviations, if any. For all operations and services performed by the commercial bank, data related to the indicators approved for evaluation were collected from the financial reports of the banks, and eight financial ratios covering most of the banking operations were approved and the actual values for them were extracted for the period 2014-2020, and the benchmark was adopted according to what the monetary authority imposes for comparison with it And the evaluation of performance using calendar grades was used to evaluate the performance of banks, which we did not find from the research that dealt with this method except very little, and the research came out with a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that the performance of banks was in an average degree, where the Rasheed Bank came first with an average score of (64.84 degrees). Al-Rafidain Bank came second after obtaining an average score of (61.89 degrees). It is obligatory for the general management of both banks to review, analyze and study their low performance and take appropriate measures to raise performance.
