Summary: | The problems of measuring and evaluating the efficiency of civil servants in the Republic of Bulgaria has not been subject of independent complex research. Existing studies on this topic are scarce. This determines the timeliness of this study. The object of the study is the system for performance assessment of civil servants in the Republic of Bulgaria. The study focuses on legislation regulating the stages and procedures for evaluating employees. The paper presents the content aspects of the impact of assessments on employees and the importance of the assessments for their career development. The author claims that the new system for assessing the performance of public sector employees will help increase their efficiency and effectiveness. |
