Description
Summary:This writing presents some results of a research work on post-earthquake reconstruction in the context of L’Aquila, designed to meet the housing needs dictated by the emergency and slow tourism. The objectives are aimed at defining low cost ‘healthy’ building systems, with high levels of wellbeing and environmental safeguard, characterized by rapid, reversible construction processes that can be achieved with materials, semi-finished and locally available products, with low environmental impact, sometimes capable of triggering new micro-economies. These objectives, due to the dual nature of the needs both of post-earthquake reconstruction and of tourism promotion, hope for local development in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for the Development of the Internal Areas of the Country.
