Summary: | The paper examines the role of digitalization in the process of enhancing the cognitive and
developmental environment of preschool education institutions. Focusing on early childhood education,
the author explores how the use of digital technologies can improve children’s learning and
development. The study analyzes the advantages of digitalization in preschool education, such as access
to a range of educational resources, interactivity, individualized learning, and stimulation of children’s
creativity and imagination. It is proven that the use of digital tools such as computers, tablets, interactive
whiteboards, multimedia presentations, and educational programs can make the learning process more
meaningful and engaging for young children. The challenges and limitations associated with
digitalization in preschool education are also investigated, such as the risk of excessive screen time, the
need for qualified pedagogical staff and appropriate resources, and the impact on children’s socialemotional
development. Recommendations are proposed for the effective implementation of
digitalization in preschool education, including ensuring a balance between digital and nontechnological
teaching methods, increasing supervision of technology use, and teaching children digital
literacy. The findings of this study contribute to a better understanding of how digital technologies can
enrich the cognitive and developmental environment in preschool education institutions and provide
recommendations for successful implementation of digitalization to enhance the quality of education
for preschool-aged children.
