For device purpose, the complex is also engineered to adsorb to the mesoporous TiO2 thin film through carboxylic acid groups. In this work, an efficient visible trans-to-cis photoisomerization is described for the first time for an anchored-rhenium(I) complex on the TiO2 surface.
