The reasons are high morbidity and mortality, difficulties in the diagnostics and assessment of disease severity, frequent cases of inadequate antibiotic therapy. Quality medical care to CAP patients is currently one of the priority issues: a number of Russian pharmaco-epidemiological surveillance studies showed that management of patients with CAP both in outpatient and inpatient settings often do not meet the requirements of the current clinical management guidelines [1-3]. |
