Description
Summary:Beyond the traditional opposition between the language of poetry and culture in the scientific sense of the word, the reader of William Blake’s works is led to discover a new definition of culture and a new kind of language, with a different function. What is at stake in the poems is a knowledge which lies beyond the grasp of words, be they poetic, and is the opposite extreme of empirical knowledge.
