In addition to its contribution to economic growth, the spatial effects of innovation, which has turned into a policy instrument in regional economic development, have recently begun to draw attention. The aim of this study is to reveal the sectors in which the locomotive regions of innovation in Turkey, such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, specialize in the manufacturing industry.
