Description
Summary:Aromas, flavors, images, colors, sounds and movements make up the relationships that the Xucuru-Kariri people establish with enchanted beings in their periodic festivals in the woods of Upper River Pardo (Caldas, Minas Gerais). The idea of describing this synesthetic cosmopolitics is to know the beings and forces of nature to which the indigenous warrior person exists ontologically related. To this end, the article focuses on some of the xucuru-kariri terms and practices in caring for the body and the role of relatives –especially ritual grandparents –in preparing things and food in more than one place in the daily living area of the village.
