The literary features of this Renaissance work, as well as its connections with Hapsburgs public funerals, have until now remained unexplored in depth. This dialogue does not only confirm the solemnity of the event; thanks to its construction of characters and the use of conversational mimesis, its author manages to create a new discursive space related to the role of the Court as a nucleus for citizenship and social order. |
