Description
Summary:This research intends to analyze the impact that capitalist globalization and the consumerist society have on the healthy environment, considering that the indiscriminate appropriation of natural resources aggravates the environmental crisis and civilization and puts at risk the maintenance of ecosystems. The topic is relevant because the discussion about the current environmental crisis is necessary to study the protection that must be given to achieve a healthy environment, guaranteeing a healthy quality of life. The hypothesis seeks to verify how the consumerist society could conform values that allow the construction of an ethics for sustainable development. Using the hypothetical-inductive method and the bibliographic and documentary research, we highlight the possibility of building an ethics so that sustainability is effective and that it perceives the healthy environment as integrity, but only through a rupture with the consumerist society and with the paradigm of major corporations.
