| description | This article deals with what the author owes to systemic thought in geography, at various moments of her career path, through the central question of complexity in geography. During her studies, the author discovers in 1977 the complexity of social and physical interactions in water use systems in the word. Then, studying the insertion of Turks in Alsace, in 1989, she introduces the time factor in the representation of the migratory field, allowing her to conceive a migration system. Finally, when studying the spatial registration of the poverty, in France, in 2008, she tackles the concept of border. The aim is to understand what takes place between the social dominated position of the populations and people in situation of poverty and their position in the space, between objective and subjective processes of their territoriality. |
